About us
Our Journey
We are Rob and Michel. In December 2018, we moved to Spain to take a new step in our lives: opening a Bed & Breakfast. Although this was a new adventure for us, we created a place where everyone feels welcome, thanks to our combined experiences and talents. Initially, we started at a different location, but we have now found our place at Villa Mañana, a fantastic location near the famous and charming mountain village of Mijas Pueblo.
Our Background
With Rob’s background in hospitality and experience as a dance school owner, and Michel’s expertise in sales and his love for cooking, we form a perfect team: hospitable, empathetic, and curious about people. We are relaxed and have a good sense of humor, and if our guests need anything, we are happy to arrange it for them. We love talking with our guests and ensuring they have an unforgettable stay.
Not just a host!
Michel enjoys cooking and is very good at it, from paella and tapas to Indonesian rice tables and Italian dishes. Our guests can often join us for meals, so they don’t have to go out and can simply sit down and enjoy. Besides being a good cook, Michel is also a talented painter. He can express his creativity through painting, which serves as a calm point amidst the busyness of daily tasks. In our living room, where you can relax during less pleasant weather, various works by him can be admired and purchased.

Our guests now come from all over the world to stay here, and we are proud to welcome them with our warm and personal approach. Our loyal dog Teun is a beloved member of the family and contributes to the cozy and homely atmosphere.
Our Philosophy
Away from home, but still at home. That’s important to us. Whether you go your own way, enjoy having a drink at the wooden table outside where everyone is welcome, join us for meals, or prefer to read a book quietly by the pool, everything is allowed, and nothing is obligatory. With us, you feel at home. And, of course, Teun is always available for a pet and a cuddle. As far as we are concerned, she only adds to the homely atmosphere we aim for.
