Mijas

One of the jewels of the Costa del Sol is the beautiful little village of Mijas, which is located just 4km from Villa Manana. When you wander through the narrow cobbled streets of this Andalucian town you will find many craft shops with typical handmade pottery even as affordable paintings and prints by local artists. But the most fun part is just relax on one of the many terraces and enjoy the spectacular views with a well deserved drink.

Malaga

The capital of the Costa del Sol situated in a bay surrounded by mountains and bounded by 2 rivers. The city centre is a place where you spend hours without ever getting bored. Its a cosmopolitan city and has the second biggest port in Spain. There are a wide variety of attractions for the tourist theatre, flamenco, tapas bars, shopping, Malaga F.C. Football stadium La Rozaleda, the Gibralfaro Castle, The Alcazaba, The Cathedral, Picasso Foundation,Atarazana market,..and many many more

Cabopino

Cabopino beach is a large sanded beach and has a protected dune area where they installed wooden boardwalks so you can enjoy the wild landscape. The sea is calm and shallow. A part of the beach is popular among nudists. There is a charming port with a good range of bars and restaurants.

Malagueta Beach

Malagueta beach is a dark sanded beach with a lenght of 1200 metres. Its located on the eastside from the port of Malaga. its a well equipted beach that provides hammocks and parasols as well as watersports equipments such as pedalos. It also has a playground what makes it an ideal beach for children.

Tarifa

A bit further away from Villa Manana but worth to visit if you have the time. The fine golden sand, those surf loving winds, and that very special light of the Costa de la Luz makes it an unbeatable combination.

Sierra de Mijas

Villa Manana is located at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas. These mountains are not only a feast for the eyes but are also wonderful to discover on foot. Several hiking trails start at 1 Km from the villa. The fauna and flora are beautiful just like the sea that you constantly see in the east. If you want to make a day trip, you can walk to the top where the weather station is located. If you prefer a shorter route (3.5 km approximately 1.30hour) then you can walk to Mijas Pueblo where there is always something going on. Not in the mood for the walk back? You can take the bus or one of the many taxis (75).

Barranco Blanco

The area of Barranco Blanco is wonderful for its amazing hiking trails but also for its refreshing water at the falls.A fifteen minute drive from Villa Manana you drive into the wooded area where you can park your car and follow the flowing Rio Alaminos on foot. Its an awesome quick get away for a hot summer afternoon to escape the heat.

Caminito del Rey

Caminito del rey is the most spectacular hiking trail in Andalucia. It’s a 1.15h drive from our place. The wooden path above the 100m high gorge is 7.7 km. You have to count on 4 to 5 hours to get back to your starting point. Booking in advance is recommended. We can also help you with this.
